She held my hand the whole time, explained everything going on to me, and helped soothe everything for me.
To start off, this woman basically delivered my baby. This was my first time delivering, so I was very nervous about the whole process, but Cassidy always made sure to explain everything she was doing, from the smallest thing, such as checking my vitals, to how the procedure was going to go for delivery, which is what made me see that Cassidy actually loved her job. But what made me realize for sure was when I was in the delivery process for 2 hours pushing, she coached me and helped me to get the baby out. Not only that, but she also encouraged me each and every time I had to push during my contractions. And not only that but when I delivered, I had a really bad hemorrhage, which caused me to lose 2 liters of blood. Through everything from the doctor trying to manually get my placenta out from others running to put medicine in my IVs and getting my blood, she held my hand the whole time and explained everything going on to me and helped soothe everything for me.
Even after I delivered, the aftercare she gave me, from cleaning me up to helping me move and washing me up, is an experience I won't forget. It was something that made me appreciate her, and honestly, no words can describe how eternally grateful I am to have been able to have a nurse like Cassidy. I know many have their stories as to why they should choose this or that nurse, but honestly, Cassidy is a nurse I will not forget because of how much she cared. You can tell that this is not only her job but it’s a job that was her calling because she went above and beyond for a patient she had just met.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much Cassidy it really warmed my heart, especially when she explained she's been in this profession for 2 years, and before she helped deliver my baby, she helped deliver 150 deliveries and kept a jar of beads for each delivery along with a list of names of babies she helped deliver. I truly am grateful to have experienced a nurse like Cassidy and hope that everyone once in their lifetime gets to have Cassidy help deliver their baby.
