Cassie admitted a patient from the ER. After some time on the floor, the patient became very upset and crying. She told Cassie she was worried because she cares for her elderly father at their home and he was not answering the phone, this caused her distress and she wanted to leave. Cassie calmed the patient and got the address and told her she would check on her dad when she left work. When Cassie left work, she stopped at the patient's dad's house and he was fine. She had him call the patient and reassure her that he was fine and didn't answer the phone because he was outside. All ended well. Cassie went above and beyond to help her patient and her father, she has a kind heart and didn't hesitate to help. She has a calm spirit and spreads this to others with her actions. She is a true asset to our hospital and patients.
