After working a 12 hour night shift Cassie took the time to run to the store to purchase a patient a stuffed bear. It was her birthday and she had been looking forward to it all week. The patient's family members were unable to visit but Cassie rounded up staff and sang "Happy Birthday". I have never seen an intubated patient so happy. She is what every nurse should strive to be like. Kind. Compassionate. Knowledgeable. Thank you for being you.
