Cassie never meets a stranger while working in the ED. She greets everyone with a smile and gives her full attention to each co-worker, patient, and family member. She leads the ED team in daily safety huddles with a prayer and inspiration for the day based on whatever problems the department has been struggling with during recent shifts. Cassie intuitively puts herself in the position of others before making decisions that affect their daily work. She is open-minded and seeks others' input on a regular basis. She leads not by telling, but by doing, role modeling the Values of Jane Phillips. She has the rare gift of being able to constructively correct someone on her team without offending the person or making him/her feel less. She is an encourager, a member of everyone's fan club, and the person you want to be with when you're feeling down because you know your load will be lighter simply because she will listen and she will care.
