Cassie eased her patient's anxiety in several compassionate ways. Transitioning into our facility and living a far distance from home, Cassie's warm smile and caring personality welcomed her patient and ensured she answered all of her questions upon arrival. Even when she wasn't this patient's nurse, Cassie would routinely check in with her to provide comfort, reassurance, genuineness, and laughter as she personally connected in every interaction. Her patient's recovery was enhanced because of the difference Cassie made. After the patient discharged, she wrote on her DAISY nomination that she wished she could keep her 24/7. She said that Cassie is a field of DAISY flowers.
