Cassie exemplifies an extraordinary nurse. She always goes above and beyond for the unit and is always willing to do more than she is asked. She has learned ways to help team members beyond what is expected of her current role.
Cassie is constantly leading by example and is always continuing her education at work and at home. Not only is she great at teamwork and putting others before herself, but she is also a patient advocate one hundred percent of the time. Cassie is someone who I would want to take care of my loved ones.
Most recently Cassie covered for our manager on day-to-day operations; she did an excellent job of fulfilling her current role on top of the other tasks that needed to be filled over that time. If Cassie didn't know the answer, she found out for us. Her hard work and compassion do not go unnoticed. Cassie is always someone who does more than she needs to without being asked. I love that she is a part of our care team and she serves as a role model for all of us.
Anyone that has spent any amount of time around Cassie knows how cheerful, kind, energetic, and selfless she is. Always willing to help out, go the extra mile for both patients, family members and co-workers, help newer staff understand a process or concept, and remains a reliable and accessible resource for everyone she works with. In her current role, there couldn't be a better person to welcome new staff to their roles and guide them through the orientation process. She is always smiling and makes everyone feel as if they deserve and have her undivided attention. "Extraordinary nurse" is such a perfect way to describe Cassie.
