I recently spent time on Ward 4D at the LGH. During this time, I received great care from all the staff. However, I would like to highlight specifically Cassie.

Cassie cared for me over several days, and during this time, she displayed a high level of compassion, care, respect, and empathy. Cassie didn’t look at me as another patient but as a person. She treated me with respect and modified her nursing care to meet my needs to support me in participating in my own healthcare.

Cassie went above and beyond in her nursing duties and showed great dedication to nursing, as a profession and as a calling. The support and care provided by Cassie, not just to me but also to the patient I was sharing a room with, exemplify the CARE values of the hospital.
