I told her the day before that I have tea with lemon and honey at home and it always makes me feel better. The next morning she brought it to me!
Catalina was exceptional. I stayed in the hospital for three days and she went up and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. She has exceptional compassion skills, she is the only one that made me comfortable in the hospital during my stay. She is the only one I never had to call because she came in to check on me all the time, she helped me get comfortable in bed; adjusted my IVs, messaged my feet, she even brought orange cleaning things for my nose to clean. She remembered that I told her the day before that I have tea with lemon and honey at home and it always makes me feel better. The next morning she brought it to me! She made me get out of bed and walked with me down the hallway which was so helpful. She does not only have great personable and compassion skills, but she also has exceptional clinical skills. My veins are hard to find. When I came into the 4th floor, I already had bruises all over my arms, every time someone came in to take blood it was a very painful experience. After I told Catalina about it she took my blood herself and not only didn't poke me but did it in the most painless way using the existing port. After that, she examined and cleaned my IV ports and noticed that one was getting swollen and red. So she kept an eye on it and brought ice packs for me which helped with the pain. I never had to tell her anything. She took the best care of me, knowing ahead of time what I needed. Catalina is an example of someone who actually cares about people and loves her job. She was a godsend that helped me get better.
