The motorcyclist would not have survived without these nurse’s quick response and selfless actions.
Cat and Colby were on their way to work when a horrific accident happened between a car and a motorcycle. The collision occurred right in front of the hospital. Two people were injured. Cat and Colby immediately stopped to render aid. The motorcyclist had critical injuries and was bleeding without a pulse. He required immediate care to survive. Without equipment or supplies, they initiated CPR. The motorcyclist had a large head injury and was still heavily bleeding. The nurses used their personal clothing to provide pressure on the bleeding areas. They continued to stay until paramedics arrived, and the motorcyclist was transported to OU Trauma Center for life-threatening trauma. The motorcyclist would not have survived without these nurse’s quick response and selfless actions. Cat and Colby are both extraordinary nurses. This selfless act of kindness is exhibited on a daily basis by these nurses. Both are thoughtful and caring with their patients, and we are grateful for all they do for Integris every day as they care for patients and whatever is needed. We are so grateful for Cat and her dedication at South.
