These past few months have been extremely challenging for me with a host of medical issues. I learned that my oozing, weeping legs were suffering from venous insufficiency. After the surgeon performed the medical procedure on each leg and prescribed the necessary medication, this nurse was constantly there for me, applying the cream and changing my bandages.
Catherine routinely engages in research on her own and shares this information with her patients to help them better understand the treatment. This was very helpful for me. A biopsy of my lung revealed a malignant growth. My family and I chose a course of treatment and this nurse was always there to lend support and assurance. She helped restore my confidence that I would come out of this and get back to feeling better and happier.
I truly believe that this nurse is one of our unsung heroes, using her considerable professional skills to help alleviate pain, provide a listening ear and offer encouragement and support to the neediest and most vulnerable among us.
