Catherine Bryant, RN

Catherine was in charge of the night shift and was following up on a patient with a discharge order who was waiting for her ride. The patient was waiting for family to come and pick her up, but could not get in touch with anyone after her initial call. Catherine realized the patient seemed upset at the situation and wanted to go home, so she stepped in to assist. The patient informed Catherine that she lived in an apartment but only knew bits and pieces of her address.

Catherine tried to help this patient by looking in her chart to confirm her address, but the patient only had a P.O. box listed. Catherine then searched online for names of apartments and streets with the zip code the patient provided and was able to piece together the full address to be able to get this patient home via Uber. This patient was then walked down to her Uber by Catherine, who spoke to the driver and asked him to please watch that the patient got into her apartment safely before leaving, to which the Uber driver replied he would. Catherine is a great charge nurse who not only helps her team but also goes above and beyond, consistently, for her patients.
