Where do we begin? One day you are living life as normal and the next you are visiting your loved one in critical care after open heart surgery in the ICU, a place no one imagines themselves being. For our dad, what started as feeling a little off/ sick quickly turned into something much bigger than we could have imagined just a few days before.

Through all the fear and unknown of that whirlwind of a week, it was the amazing nursing staff we met along that way that really made such a big difference. On what our dad describes as the hardest day of his life, he had a nurse by his side making sure he made it to see the better days ahead. Catherine was both compassionate and confident. She explained everything to us as the events of the day unfolded, all while managing the various medications, tests, and procedures needed to stabilize him. We cannot say enough great things about all the many people who walked into his room during the week he was admitted, but it is hard to forget a nurse who you know helped save your loved one. We are extremely grateful and appreciate all that you do each day.
