I delivered my son at 24 weeks and 4 days and he was immediately taken to the NICU and placed with Katie and another nurse. From the second he was placed with them in the NICU, they did everything they could to help my son survive. They kept me, my husband, and both of our families informed. We had given permission to Katie to contact our family as well when needed.

We had a scare and thought we were going to lose our son, and my husband and I could not think who to call or what to do. We were almost completely out of it, and Katie and our other nurse contacted our family right after we were called in, and they were able to make the drive to be with us! Both of our son's NICU nurses went absolutely above and beyond their job duties! 

We lost our son four days after he was born, and they cried with us, I felt they were hurting as much as we were. I’ve never had two nurses take care of anyone I love like those two did! They treated us and W as if they were treating their own child, and I will never be able to thank them enough.

We lost our son but gained two more family members in our nurses! I would love to recognize them in Memory of our son, W. They deserve so much recognition for all their hard work and dedication in trying to save our son, and this is the only way I know to show even a slight bit of gratitude for what they did for our family.
