Catherine is one of the most selfless and helpful nurses I have got the chance to work with. When it comes to boosting a patient, needing a sign-off, or needing help with labs or meds, Catherine is always there to help without hesitation. Catherine is such an extremely positive light to our department and treats her patients with the utmost respect and truly cares for their safety and well-being. There were many times Catherine came to help me and tag-teamed completing the orders without a complaint. Catherine truly puts her patients first, goes above and beyond for the patient and their families, and never complains. She is the perfect image of what an emergency department nurse should be and is one of the most compassionate nurses I know. The EC is extremely grateful to work alongside Catherine. There was another instance recently where Catherine was taking care of an end-of-life patient. The family had asked if there was a way to get a handprint of their mother before she passed, Catherine took it upon herself to call the L&D department and inquire about the ink pads they use to footprint the newborn babies. She was able to get the pad from L&D and get the handprint for the family before the patient passed. Catherine has made significant and long-lasting impacts on her coworkers and patients.
