I had emergency abdominal surgery requiring an ileostomy. I was very unnerved and daunted by the challenge of having and caring for an ostomy.
Cathy, who was on vacation at the time came into the hospital to explain the process of caring for, cleaning, and changing the ileostomy pouch, etc. She also provided us with instructions on ordering supplies. All the while she was on vacation! Above and beyond the level of care (in a hospital where the care is exceptional). She made herself available to reassure us on several follow-up calls.
Cathy is a caring, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and professional person! A true asset to PBMC.
