We spent 104 days in the NICU with our micro-preemie. Initially, it was a daunting and isolating experience, but thanks to the remarkable nurses, we gradually found solace and a sense of belonging. Among them, one nurse stood out for us—Catherine Higgins.

Her compassionate and serene presence enveloped us in a cocoon of reassurance, making the NICU feel more like a second home. Catherine's unwavering dedication and expertise instilled in us a profound trust and admiration. Her nurturing demeanor not only comforted our son but also extended to our entire family.

Catherine's guidance was invaluable as she navigated us through the complexities of caring for a fragile newborn. Beyond her clinical proficiency, it was her genuine care and empathy that touched our hearts. As our bond with Catherine deepened, we found not just a caregiver but a cherished friend. When the time came for us to transition home, Catherine's support was unwavering. She patiently coached us through essential tasks like bottle feeding and medication administration, instilling in us the confidence to care for our son independently.
