Catherine (Cat) Jascoe is a Registered Nurse at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, and has an extensive critical care background, mainly working in areas such as CVICU along with PACU, Multi System, and Surgical ICU. She has a passion for her profession and goes above and beyond her duty during her shifts as well as in the community she lives. In addition to exceptional patient care, Cat also serves as a leader in many areas of the hospital, including being a past Chair of the ICU Practice Council. She now remains on the council and is active with the system's patient experience team. In her personal time, she volunteers for the community's local Veterans and facilitates shelter, clothes, medical attention, and food for them as well as arranges many events to help raise money for the centers that she works with.
Cat is known by all her peers as a leader and an advocate for every patient she meets. She holds a place in her heart for substance abuse patients and has a special touch in getting through to them. She understands the complexity of these types of cases and makes every patient she meets understand that their life has value. She offers a special kind of care, showing compassion and knowing the right way to motivate her patients to reach their health and wellness goals. All in all, Nurse Cat gives every patient the same level of love and hope they deserve when it is needed the most.
