We had the honor of having Katie for six days as A's nurse. I must say that the entire staff here at CHOP is great; Katie is the best and goes the extra mile for our child. My daughter was mainly under for most of those days, but Katie has built such a relationship with her that I feel she is one of the reasons she is feeling better. We understand she has a job to do, but doing the little things, like lotioning her, doing her hair, talking to her with a sweet voice and being her friend. Her emotional support for our family has been huge and we can't thank her enough. Katie is so deserving of this award; the things she did to make us feel good along with my daughter are phenomenal.
