My fiancé was admitted to the ICU. With neither of us having experienced anything of this nature, we were scared. Catie cared for him for two days and not only made sure my fiancé was taken care of but also answered all questions. She genuinely cared for her patient and family. She checked on me randomly, his fiancée, as well as just coming up to talk to him. She gave me a sense of security, so I felt comfortable. When my fiancé was taken off the vent, he was scared to go to sleep; with her communication and reassurance, he was made to feel safe and was able to rest. She paid attention to all the details on what he liked and actually took the time with us. In the last three months, we have had several hospital stays and have never experienced the compassion, genuine love of the job, and caring nature that Catie gave us.
