Catherine had a discharge who was scheduled to leave at 0930 to catch his Uber that would take him to the Greyhound bus station to travel home. The patient's ordered breakfast did not arrive prior to his discharge time of 0930, and the patient did not want the boxed sandwich we provide in our nutrition rooms on the unit. Catherine went out of her way to go downstairs to the Cafe and buy the patient breakfast so he could eat prior to discharge. I thought this was such a nice gesture, and she did everything she could to accommodate for the patient and his needs, all while getting him out on time for his long journey home. You're awesome, Cathy!
