Catherine Mikelaites has been with the College for only two academic years, and yet in this short period of time she has accomplished much!  In addition to being a student herself in a DNP program, Catherine has developed courses, and most recently has developed a co-teaching partnership with our healthcare system 's Chief Nurse Officer for an online course, Business of Health Care and Complex Systems.  Catherine has served as Curriculum Chair for the 2015-2016 academic year, and led in the creation of a revised curriculum for the BSN program track, to be implemented in 2016. She also accompanied pre-licensure students to the Virginia Nurses Association 's Legislative Day at the capitol, an enriching experience that helps develop nursing engagement in legislative issues and advocacy.
