Catherine is one of our amazing charge nurses in 5400. She was working on Mother's Day and being a mother herself she understood the disappointment this day could bring to some of the patients who are Mothers. With her own money and time, she bought roses and chocolate bars to provide to the patients. Though I was not here to witness the reaction of the patients, I received feedback from her coworkers about how much this act of kindness made their patient's day. This act of love and compassion is only one example of the amazing nurse that Catherine is. She went above and beyond to make our patients feel special at a time that can be scary and full of uncertainty.
