August 2013 Honoree
cathy dyke, RN, BSN
A former NICU parent gave Cathy Dyke an update about her son possibly having autism. Cathy keeps in touch with another NICU family whose NICU experience is nearly identical. Cathy contacted the other family and was able to get the two families connected. Cathy did this on her own time.
Both families delivered twin boys, both families lost a twin, and now both families have a surviving twin with autism (autism spectrum). The mothers have connected and are supportive to each other because Cathy took the time to help a mother who was in need.

Thank you, Cathy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
