January 2020 Honoree
cathy marr, ADN, RN, CMSRN
I was admitted on Thursday. Cathy was my nurse on Friday. She was compassionate and caring. She even comforted my family when we found out I needed emergency surgery. She is my nurse again after being released from ICU. She greeted us with a smile and stated she had worried about me all night. Reassuring to know that she connects to her patients and shows she is human as well.
***
Cathy goes out of her way to care for her patients. Cathy comes in to check on me even when I don't call. It is obvious that she loves her job. I am grateful for her care.
I came in for outpatient surgery. It had to be rescheduled for the next day. Then I had 2 surgeries. I wanted to go home really bad today, but Cathy took the time to explain the importance of me staying, and also provided A+ care.
