My husband, D, was here during his final days from having cancer for 8 years. He had to be admitted and Cathy Pruitt was his nurse. D needed to give a urine sample, but he didn't want to when Cathy brought a bottle. He got very upset and threw the bottle at her. I got up to apologize to her and scolded D. She was calm, cool, compassionate, and caring. She told him nicely that she had to get the sample and she did. While she was getting a sample, she looked as if nothing had happened, very serious. She was calm and she explained everything as much as she could. She is a very good nurse, GREAT nurse, she has my support. We have interacted with Cathy before because I had to bring D in several times. She has been great, nice down to earth. Whenever I came in and saw her, I knew it was going to get better because she makes time fly when we are here. She tries very hard to make the patient feel good also the family, she is awesome.
