Cayla Smith, BSN, RN, CPN

Cayla was our first nurse to take care of our son once we were moved to the floor from PACU. Cayla did a fantastic job getting our son settled into his new room and new bed. His pain was managed well, and recovery was off to a great start. Cayla went above and beyond to make sure that our son had a 1:1 for the night so that my husband and I could return to our hotel for a full night's rest, something that we have not had for years as our son is medically complex, nonverbal, delayed and impulsive. Cayla exemplified what it means to be a nurse. She not only cared for our son but provided care to his caretakers!
