I feel that because of her gut feeling that something was amiss with me and her courage to act upon that shows her level of intuition, her courage, her boldness to act, and her professionalism as a nurse.
I first met Ceanna in early 2018 at FMC when I went on Medicare at the age of 65. She was my regular infusion nurse at the Endoscopy Department.
You see I have a condition called CVID. That stands for Common Variable Immunodeficiency Disorder. I receive a monthly infusion of IVIG at the Endoscopy Department.
I have continued to receive these infusions since 2018 and I always had a borderline/low blood 02 sat level.
Around Dec. 2019, nurse Ceanna was becoming concerned about my 02 sats always being borderline/low so she asked me to try an experiment to see if my 02 sats would improve.
She gave me a breathing device she wanted me to use on a regular basis until my next infusion and see if that improved my lung function/02 sat levels. I started with the treatments at home but had an appointment to see an FNP nurse at Mountain Heart about my low 02 sats before my next infusion.
They had me perform a 6-minute walk test and determined that my 02 levels were indeed low, so low in fact that she prescribed me 5 liters of 02 immediately to bring my levels up to normal.
I was shocked at this diagnosis but was glad they were able to diagnose me and help me.
Getting back to nurse Ceanna, I feel that she would have also made this determination had she had longer to evaluate me.
I feel that because of her gut feeling that something was amiss with me and her courage to act upon that shows her level of intuition, her courage, her boldness to act, and her professionalism as a nurse.
I just want to say that Nurse Ceanna Hamilton is a keeper in my book. You should take pride and acknowledge the grit and determination and good nursing instincts she has and had, to look into something that probably wasn't hers to do.
Although young, she certainly has an ability, a knack if you will, for being compassionate and bold enough to go beyond the norm.
Please allow me to say that you should definitely strive to retain nurse Ceanna. As for me, she is the greatest!
