This is my 4th visit to the Infusion Center at OCMMC for my husband's Rutaxin treatment. CeCe has been present for each. Today a gentleman entered for his first dose of IV medication. He was irritable, angry, did not want to be here, he felt totally out of control and wanted "to be any place but here" and he was close to walking out of the Infusion Center. CeCe reached out to him, listened and gave him the opportunity to talk. She gave him the opportunity to vent to take a small degree of control and really cared for the whole person - body, mind and spirit! It was impossible not to hear his baritone complaints. His mom was a retired RN with 2 other RN's in the family. He felt like everyone else knew what was going on except him. CeCe really listened. She calmed him and really focused on his need for information, some small degree of control and he took the IV infusion.

Her compassionate assessment and spirit of caring were truly above and beyond! She deserves a bouquet of daisies!
