Cecilia Cantillo has been a part of the Las Palmas team since 2008. Ceci is known as the face of Magnet for Las Palmas since she has promoted, initiated and continues to be an active member of both unit and hospital wide committees. She has been the Chair of the Professional Development and Research Council for over 4 years.She is very knowledgeable and a great promoter of the Clinical Advancement Program for Nurses.

As part of her work in the Council, she has been able to significantly increase participation with the Career Ladder Program and was instrumental in initiating and continues to maintain Nurse Recognition for the hospital. She implemented Nurse of the Month, Nurse of the Year, and the DAISY Award recognition. Ceci is described by peers as an even-keeled, exceptional nurse and individual, and a great asset to her unit. Ceci exceeds expectations and is very enthusiastic, loyal, responsible, ethical and self-motivated. She is the designated Charge Nurse in her unit and excels in patient care. Bringing forward great ideas, she tries to find solutions to any issues. For always going far beyond her call of duty, kudos to Ceci on her well-earned DAISY Award.
