May 2022 Honoree
Cecilia Pinedo, BSN, RN
Cecilia Pinedo took care of my grandmother during her hospital stay where my grandma was transitioned to hospice care. Transitioning to palliative care was a difficult decision for our family but what was ultimately what my grandmother expressed she wanted in her living will. Cecilia took care of my grandmother most of the week as her medications were adjusted to help her achieve maximum comfort and minimal agitation and side effects. Cecilia showed incredible warmth and kindness towards my grandmother. She was compassionate toward my grandma and our family during this stressful and sad time which made all the difference.
***
Cecilia took exceptional care of my mom during her stay both during her recovery phase and during her transition to hospice care. She was unfailingly kind and was always willing to answer any questions we asked - always with a smile and a “no problem”. During this difficult time, the care she provided, and the kindness she exhibited, were so appreciated.
