Celeste Grossi
DAISY Award Winner – April, 2015

In the short time that I have known Professor Grossi, she has already made an impact on my learning. She is a strong, smart, caring, funny woman who wants to see her students shoot for the stars. No matter what time of day it is she'll email back in regards to questions; I have never received this kind of care from a professor in my life. She pushes her students to think differently about how the small things such as vital signs are just a piece of a life saving puzzle. Professor Grossi takes learning to a new level and I can only strive to be a nurse like her one day.

Professor Grossi is just amazing. She truly cares about every student and is always willing to help anyone who needs it. She is an excellent instructor and always finds ways to keep lectures interesting, even when the topics aren't. She is so passionate about nursing, it makes me even more excited to become a nurse. I truly aspire to be just like her when I'm a nurse.

From the start of Fundamentals Professor Grossi has been there for not just myself, but ALL students. She has a no nonsense way of teaching that does not freak students out, but rather, comforts them, knowing full well that there is a long stretch of blood, sweat, and tears to come in the program. I had a personal problem with my math in fundamentals, and Professor Grossi met with me one on one until I had ZERO questions left. She has an amazing way to reach to students by telling them to NOT freak out. And, she has an amazing skill in teaching every student. Professor Grossi walks into her classroom and the class sighs in relief. She is one of the strongest most valuable mentors I have ever come across, in all my education to date. She is an asset to our nursing profession. I hope you see that she deserves this award. And much more.
