April 2026 Honoree
Celia Summers, RN
My husband's grandmother was being transferred from Leitchfield to Norton 4B. As we were waiting, we heard from family that she passed en route. I informed Celia, who was preparing the room. She immediately began to help me locate our loved one and took us to the ED personally. Once there, she asked if I would like her to get his grandmother cleaned up. I am an RN and asked if I could help. She handled the whole situation with grace and kindness and helped me ensure that my husband and in-laws could see her looking clean and peaceful. She even made calls to the ICU to gather supplies the ED did not have. I will never forget Celia's kindness and her willingness to provide care that she didn't have to. From one RN to another, I thank you!
Thank you, Celia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
