She was most caring, kind, helpful, and patient with my children. Cleaning their wounds and dressing them. Making sure to educate us all on the days to follow and leaving us with supplies to hold us over until our next follow-up.
My two children were involved in a freak accident and were burned all over their faces and hands. My daughter sustained 2nd degree burns on her face and both hands. My son sustained first degree on his entire face as well as one hand. We were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where we were not only treated without empathy but had the worst experience ever in ER. With that being said, I took it upon myself to drive us out to LAC+USC as they have a burn unit and team that I felt would be able to better assist us and help my children to the best of their ability. As we were in the ER the burn team came down to us, saving my children a painful walk. The whole team there was great and helpful. Tending to our care and needs in this traumatic experience. We were left with a follow-up appointment in which we were greeted by Celia. She was most caring, kind, helpful, and patient with my children. Cleaning their wounds and dressing them. Making sure to educate us all on the days to follow and leaving us with supplies to hold us over until our next follow-up. She made us completely forget about our horrific experience, aided my children with pain and surely made them feel so loved and blessed even having to deal with this. She was gentle when cleaning up the wounds and application of the different creams we are to use. We felt as though we were their family because of the way they took care of us with the utmost compassion. I am so thankful and grateful to have such an amazing team as well as the ER and Burn team that greeted us on day one. This lady as well as all of the LAC+USC deserve to be acknowledged for leaving such a beautiful everlasting impression in our lives, especially for my children.
