Celi encompasses the character of Nursing. Her kindness and compassion shine in extremely difficult situations. I call it the "Celi Magic." Her ability to soothe patients and family members during emotional trials is truly remarkable. Her knowledge and skill level makes her an excellent charge nurse. If she does not have the answer she knows where to find it. She remains calm and composed in the most difficult situations. She leads by example and her example is kindness, knowledge, compassion, and humility. She has a true servant's heart.
There was a patient who was down-graded to our unit. The patient and the husband were upset that it happened at night. Celi was able to explain this was a good thing. The next step to going home. They were quieted by her manner and presence. By the time she was done they felt secure, safe, and cared for. They could see we all truly were working for their good!
