I was the patient on this admission. I am also an RN at a neighboring hospital. I thought we had great teamwork but I have been so so impressed with the team I was so fortunate to have. I had a pretty intense/painful procedure. On admission, the Nurse was so friendly and caring. (She also moved me to a lovely room!). I came up to the unit without the proper pain meds ordered. Two of the team members worked relentlessly with pharmacy and my wonderful doctor for > 40 minutes helping him enter the order properly. There wasn't a hint of irritation on their (RNs) end and the correct orders and pain control began. The Nurse attacked my pain like a pro, as did NOC RN. The Nurse was my RN the following day. I can NOT say enough about how wonderful and caring all 3 were. I have never felt so cared for! Above and Beyond!!! This is what Nursing is all about!!
