Cerina Garcia, ADN, RN

I would like to nominate Cerina for a DAISY Award for the truly exceptional care she provided during my induction following a car accident.

From the moment she became my nurse, she showed an incredible level of compassion, patience, and professionalism that made one of the hardest and most emotional experiences of my life feel manageable and safe. Throughout my labor, I experienced several difficult complications with my epidural. I had to go through the procedure twice, and even after the second attempt, it failed on my left side, leaving me in significant pain and discomfort.

During every moment of uncertainty and frustration, Cerina was right there beside me advocating for my care, listening to my concerns, and making sure my pain and needs were taken seriously. I never once felt dismissed or alone because she continuously fought to make sure I was as comfortable and supported as possible. What stood out most was how genuinely caring and thoughtful she was. She did not just provide medical care — she provided emotional support, reassurance, and kindness during a time when I felt vulnerable and overwhelmed. She made me feel safe, heard, and truly cared for. Her calm presence and encouragement helped me get through an experience that could have been much more frightening without her.

Cerina made me feel like I was in the best possible hands, and I will never forget the impact she had on both my labor experience and my overall well-being. The compassion and dedication she showed went far beyond what is expected, and I am incredibly grateful for everything she did for me and my family. She is exactly the kind of nurse who deserves recognition through the DAISY Award.
