March 2026 Honoree
Cesidia Tramontozzi, RN
Ce Tramontozzi has had a successful 47-year career as an RN in hospital-based nursing care. She worked for many years at Lawrence as a staff nurse on 3N. She has served as a nurse leader on 3N and again at the Columbia campus. She’s worked in IR & ASU and is ending her career with care coordination on 3N. She is a constant patient advocate and diligent in her discharge planning. She displays professionalism and respect while blending them with a healthy sense of humor that keeps the interdisciplinary team on their toes. She has received numerous letters of patient and family appreciation detailing her empathy and expertise in creating complex discharge plans for this population. What stands out the most to me about the DAISY Nomination is the criteria of serving as a role model and advocate for nursing practice. Ce is the backbone of the Case Management Department. She trained just about everyone on the team at one point or another, and many came here to work because of her. If they weren’t trained by Ce, they have certainly gone to her for advice or to ask for her guidance on a case. She served as interim director and has covered for her director countless times over the last 8 years. I nominate Ce for the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award for all of the above – for the 46 years of patient care and dedication to the profession.
Thank you, Cesidia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
