A patient came into the ER with her husband after being threatened and hit in the head by an intruder. The wife and four-year-old daughter witnessed their husband/parent be shot multiple times in the chest. The husband was pronounced deceased later in the hospital. Chabelli was with the wife and daughter throughout their care. She was there as emotional support for the wife when the officers came to tell her, her husband would no longer be with them. Not only did she provide exceptional care to probably the worst moment of their life, but she also did her kindest most simple gesture by buying the four-year-old a McDonald's meal while she was taking her break. The little girl who would never see her father again and who witnessed the whole scene was so happy and excited about McDonald's pancakes. It's these simple gestures and these nurses who go above and beyond for patient care and their families that set Orlando Health apart from the rest.
