Chakita had my back all night as I dealt with a patient who was in severe respiratory distress. She acted as a mentor and leader to help me provide excellent care during such a high stress situation. She was also great with the patient's family members. She had a calm demeanor and was joking with them to help them cope with the serious medical condition of their family member. She also acted as an advocate on behalf of this patient to ensure her transition to the ICU went as smoothly as possible.
Chakita has a kind and calming presence and is the type of nurse that keeps this ED running smoothly! She deserves to be recognized for all of the amazing things she does for this department.
