Miss Honeywood has worked so hard to become an amazing nurse and has done a wonderful job teaching us future nurses how to follow in her footsteps
I met Miss Honeywood during my first semester of nursing school. I remember staying up before my very first clinical, crying, thinking about all of the "what-ifs." From the very first moment I met her, I knew that we were in good hands.
She did everything she could to make us feel comfortable, and we started to look forward to what most people would say was "the worst day of the week". She immediately gave us the opportunity to be independent and set us on our way, but held our hands if we needed her. I had several opportunities to practice skills alone with the nurses on the floor, but I would always grab her to come with me because she made me feel so safe.

One of my favorite childhood movies was Matilda from 1996. Matilda's elementary teacher, named Miss Honey, paved the way for Matilda and made her see her strengths despite the foundation that was set for her. She was always kind and put her students first. I am so grateful to have met the real-life Miss Honey.
