Nurse Chandini made it feel like I had someone who loved me and cared for me was also in the room during the entire labor and the delivery.
Chandini made me feel special the second I walked in, she came to fix my IV that was just loosely hanging off of me, she secured it in a way that was so much more comfortable than the way it was done originally. I recently lost my only brother and lost my mother at 18 and due to COVID protocol, my husband was the only one allowed with me for my daughter's birth. Nurse Chandini made it feel like I had someone who loved me and cared for me was also in the room during the entire labor and the delivery. It almost felt like my mother was there. I am beyond grateful for having someone like her by my side and making it easier on my husband as well. During the entire process, she kept me so distracted that I didn't have time to feel sadness for my recent loss. She kept me calm throughout my entire natural, non-epidural birth. I remember at the time, I kept thanking her for how she was treating me and caring for me and helping me through the labor pain. After delivery, I still had discomfort and pain and she kept me calm even after they had to take my baby to the NICU, where she stayed for 3 days due to complications. Chandini kept us well informed through the entire process of what was happening and gave my husband and me peace of mind. I didn't want to leave the L&D unit because I wanted Chandini to stay with me. Thanking her is not enough for her kindness.
