Chandler was nominated by a patient who described her as "a wonderful nurse and a caring, compassionate human being." The patient was struggling with alcohol addiction and acknowledged she needed additional treatment after leaving the hospital. Referred by a friend to an addiction treatment center, she did the hard work required and was accepted into the program. "Without Chandler's help, I probably would not have attained my goal," the patient said. "She was the one 'constant.' We worked together every night, and her easygoing, witty, and supportive nature eased my fears and gave me hope."
