I’ve worked with Chandra for over 15 years, and I can say, without a doubt, that she is truly one of Baton Rouge General's best. Chandra goes above and beyond every day. She is knowledgeable, experienced, a strong charge nurse, and has a sense of humor like no other. She can joke with someone in a way as if she's known them for years. She is loyal and dependable, always willing to help, and if she doesn't know an answer, she'll figure it out. She can sometimes be tough, but underneath that shell, she is truly sensitive and compassionate.

This letter should have been written some time ago, but it wasn't until an incident recently occurred that reminded me this acknowledgment is way overdue. We had an unruly patient, who ripped out both of his IVs, causing blood to get everywhere! Once the situation was resolved, Chandra took the time to wash his blood-soaked shoes and clothes so that he would have something clean to go home in. This action is something she would do for any patient in need. There have even been instances when she has brought left-behind belongings to patients who have been discharged. Her everyday actions demonstrate how much she cares, and l am glad to be on her team.
