This hospitalization was so pleasant, and I contribute my feelings toward my excellent nurse, Chantal, on the medical oncology floor. From the moment I arrived to the unit, I felt as though I was a VIP receiving excellent service and care that was far above and beyond anything I could have imagined. Chantal has been so attentive, and even though I have had several needs, she has never made me feel like there is any other patient who is more important than I am in that moment. I have felt appreciated, safe, and secure. I was so glad to have been assigned to her care for three straight days. She always comes in with a smile and acts like she is so happy to be attending to my needs. She has been an example to her students that have followed her from EPCC and UTEP and has demonstrated the skills, knowledge, and bedside manner that every student should desire to attain. I am so thankful to have had nursing care by Chantal. I will remember her for years and years to come and will be sure to tell all I know how amazing she was during my stay.
