I wanted to share the wonderful experience I had on a recent visit to the ED. I was 3 weeks status post total hysterectomy and found myself bleeding uncontrollably. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion. I had at least two nurses say "I am sorry this is happening to you, hun". When I arrived in a room, I was greeted by a wonderful nurse, Chantel. While all that was occurring, throughout my time in the ED department was extremely awkward, she never made me feel that way. She was top-notch and had the most wonderful personality! My loved one remarked that he appreciated her sense of humor, which kept him calm and focused on me. There was no doubt this department was busy as usual, but the care was still top-notch. I recall telling Chantel she was wonderful and I appreciated her. She remarked "Just don’t tell my boss." I smiled because in my mind I knew you needed to hear about her wonderful care!
