EMA
TriStar Centennial Medical Center and TriStar Ashland City Medical Center
I work at Centennial, but last week I was a patient as well, for the removal of an infected kidney stone. Having worked here for 18 years, I am pretty vigilant in observing how we care for our patients, but also how we treat one another as fellow employees. I was pretty stressed out that morning until Chantelle came sort of cheerfully "bouncing" into my room, and she was really so nice (and at 5 am)!
Not only is she a great nurse, but she is also the kind of great nurse you secretly always hope you will get if you have to be hospitalized. Chantelle does a good job of living our ICARE values. You can tell she has a lot of pride in her work. I am so happy I got to meet and know her, and I really do appreciate all of her help that day.
That is the reason I would like to nominate her for the DAISY Award. Sometimes we fail to realize it does not have to be something "heroic" to be recognized for being extraordinary- sometimes it is in the small day to day consistent care that a person gives that deserves to be rewarded. Thank you so much, Chantelle, for taking care of me! YOU ARE THE BEST!
