Charica was nominated by a patient who was struggling to progress with the laboring and the delivery of her baby. Charica remained calm and assisted the patient, taking extra time to help the patient relax and change positions in order to progress with birthing. After the baby was born and Charica's shift had ended, Charica came to check on the patient who had been moved to Postpartum. By Charica taking this extra step, visiting the patient on another unit, and meeting the baby, this meant the world to the patient.
