I have many reasons to recognize Charito. As a pediatric nurse, she works tirelessly with the children to ensure that she is providing the very best in-patient clinical care, but, not only this, Charito goes above and beyond in showing her love and care for the patients.
I remember very fondly her devotion to one of our babies who celebrated her 1st birthday in Amana. Charito was on her day off, yet she came to Amana to decorate the baby girl's bedroom to make it look like a fairy den! She spent many hours cooking home foods for a small party to celebrate the patient's birthday. The look on the faces of the parents is one I will never forget. So happy to be in Amana, but also I could tell they felt lucky that one nurse, in particular, showed their daughter so much kindness.
Charito has worked very hard to obtain a qualification in infection control and works hard to ensure education is disseminated on the floor and is always there for a helping hand. Charito is an asset to our team and is often referred to as "Ate Cha!" She really is a true DAISY Nurse!
