Charity Muchiri, RN

I am excited to nominate Charity for the DAISY Award because she is the type of nurse I would like to care for me or anyone in my family. I have had the pleasure of working with her on several cases, and on each one, I have witnessed her treat each one with compassion, kindness, care, and respect. One patient, in particular, has been a paraplegic for over 50 years and looks forward to Charity’s visits. I have seen her treat him with empathy and dignity while caring for his wounds and doing her routine vital checks. She takes her time and is very helpful with the Hoyer lift when transferring him from the bed to his motorized wheelchair. Her calm demeanor is very comforting, and she is exceptional at her craft. We at the VNA are very fortunate to have her as a colleague.
