Charlene Cabay, RN

Charlene was caring for a patient who had a very poor prognosis. Her daughter was going to be married in May and was heartbroken that her mother would most likely not be there. Charlene immediately sprang into action to see what she could do to help. Charlene gained manager approval to hold an abbreviated ceremony with the bride, groom, and immediate family members including their dog! Unfortunately, the patient expired quite rapidly, and they were unable to hold the ceremony but the heartfelt and compassionate gesture from Charlene would never be forgotten by the family and her peers.
